About
I am a data scientist and engineer bringing over 6 years of experience to for-purpose organisations. I have also spent 4 years working in politics, and have experience across the whole process: system and pipeline design, data processing, analysis, report making, and communicating effectively to stakeholders. This means I understand what people need before I build anything.
Currently based in Melbourne, Australia, where I work with teams whose decisions affect real people for social good. What I care about is the evidence holding up and being clear enough to act on.
My approach
Data science is only useful when it bridges the gap between raw numbers and real-world impact. For the NGOs, government agencies, and for-purpose teams I work with, the hurdle is rarely a lack of data. The real challenge is communicating that data so it supports the mission rather than adding to the noise.

Too often, data projects are built by technical teams for technical audiences, and critical insights get lost in translation. I already understand the political and social context of the issues you face, which lets me interpret the data accurately and provide value beyond the raw numbers.
